As far as I know these are not from East Power but from E-Power which may or may not be any good.

asked Nick about cells today,

Quote:
Hi

EP and IB are the best cells.
The EP4500 deliver the best power.
The Kapow 4200Hi Volt is close
The Kapow 4500 have less run time than those and slightly higher resistance.

Thankyou
Nick Adams

They are definitely East Power, it's their new "Brand". I got a couple directly from EP and put them on my matcher and the initial readings are really encouraging.

Out of the 6 i have they are coming up at about 1.19v to 1.23v and 1.5 to 2.0IR , and the mah is outta this world!! (30 amp discharge, 6 amp charge)

They keep wanting to repeak on my turbo matcher 4 though which i don't really understand why and how to prevent that.

This cell is the real deal. Runtime, voltage and resistance are all really good. Self discharge and venting are practically non-existent.

We have been matching these cells for nearly two months. Based on the tests that we have performed, I can say that the E-Power 4500 is the best NiMH cell that we have seen.

How are they compared to the EP4600's from Trinity? Same cell with different shrinkwrap?

Is "Kapow" the new brand name for the IB4200s?

I think that you will find that the E Power 4500 and the EP4600 are from totallly different manufacturers.

I have had H Energy 4500 cells that look distinctly like the E Power 4500. They are a reasonable cell.

I have also had a test sample lot of the EP4600 cells. These are very interesting. The ones that I had only had similar runtime to the EP4200 cells but the voltager was all above 1.245 and some at 1.245 wit IR of around 1.6

Too early to tell if they have reliability problems

Pretty much. No doubt that the E-Power 4500 will be the cell of choice in the coming weeks and months.

The epower and ep's are both manufactured at the same factory and same company. Epower is a different brand name for ep's.

I got a couple sample cells from ep and they are really good, but i don't think they offer quite the same performance characteristics as the "ep" red black shrinked cells.

The jury is still out on track performance because i suck .

I'm curious to try them. What companies (US) carry them?
