Tamiya USA also has the spool outdrives in stock now as well. No need to buy the whole spool just for the outdrives..

I have an EVO V but I think the suspension is the same as the 416. The shim that is used when mounting the knuckle in the c-hub. The manual has it going on top. Was wondering, if that is a setup item (as it can be moved to the bottom) and what the effect of changing it would be?

Yesterday I got the prototype, it fit into my chassis perfectly, and mounted the pack exactly how I wanted it to. I'll be going to the track today to test the balance of it and give it the "OK" and then they will be readilly available. I'll get pics posted soon as well.

This tray will allow ANY lipo pack to easilly fit into the 416 without worrying about any clearance issues with the upper deck.
Now it makes sense why he kept walking off with my 416 when I wasn't looking!

That's great news, Chris is a good dude.

Bitty design have been making a lipo tray that fits the 416 for ages

I've been using it all year, my SMC 5200 sits just outside the top deck and my car is perfectly balanced side to side

Yeah, he was all for the idea of making a tray for the 416 from my first e-mail to him and on. The prototype fits my Orion equipment perfectly, but I notified him of a small change he will need to make to have it fit the SMC and other brand packs just as well. I'm sure it won't be long before the updates are ready to go and the trays will be in production.

CraigM uses SPX also ... same like mine.

Just check with you what is the max speed for 416 with SPX & Speedpassion 11.5T motor.

Currently I am gearing my 416 at 5.3 & profile 7 on ESC. As far I observe there are no degration in speed & VTEC acceleration kicks in. But problem other same cars are cutting me off easily at high speed on 50m straight.

I was thinking if 5.1 will increase the car speed. So what is the LRP SPX setup, gearing & etc to take full advantage of TRF 416?

Leaving those screws out will just let the back end of the car flex a little more and provide more traction.

I've never used SP motors sorry, and my motors are 10.5 so I can't really help you. I can say I found dropping a tooth and running profile 8 was quicker than profile 7. I smoked 2 motors getting it right too

By the way care to share which motor you tried & gearing. Till you smoke them. That is very helpful & deeply appreciate that.

Both novak 10.5s geared at 4.7 then 4.9 on profile 7. I had started conservatively with both motors but then picked up some speed with setup and that's when they went. I'm now using LRP motors again as they are more tolerant to heat, and my 10.5 is geared to 5.3. Motor comes off around 78degC after 6 mins (we ran 6 minute heats at the last event)

I get the exactly the same temp gearing at 5.3 after 6 min run taking the temp immediately. Since I am running with heatsink. The temp drop faster to 60+C in sec. By the way what is the recommended max temp stock motor can go?

If I were to go 5.1 with profile 7, will the temp be higher. But I believe I get more speed then.
