I would let the traction compound soak in much longer on the gray tires. Also you may want to treat them multiple times. The grays will sometimes get loose at about the 6 or 7 minute mark as the compound wears off. Grays are a pretty good stock tire, as they free up the car because of their "looseness".(is that a word?) Grays are best on high bite tracks or at races where there is a lot of compound being laid down (big events). I would suggest magenta if you are running mod, maybe 19 turn, or on a lower bite track.

I would try pinks. At least on the rear. Maybe get a pair and put them on the back with your double pinks on the front. If it is better, then you know the direction you need to go. Magentas would be good to try also.

Hey Jack would you mind listing a comprehensive shoring chart of your 1/10 Prisms? Also in what sitch would the Lilacs be used?

I normally run dP all around but the traction has now become 'high' and dP in front creates a '2-wheel motion' in every corner. Glueing sidewalls is not an option for me; I don't particularly like that 'cure' dP/Orange is good I've been running that lately but takes away a bit more steering than I like; I'm thinking a Lilac is possible go-between

Jay, I run dp/o,dp for low steering, dp/o,lilac for more steering, and dp,dp for lots of steering.

dP/O front, Lilac rear... sounds interesting. I'll definitely give that a go

The dp/o-lilac is that little extra bit of steering without using a one-compound front. I've been having trouble with traction rolling using a one-compound front (either dp all around or magenta all around), and it also makes the car harder to drive.

Also, use thin CA. The thick stuff will actually make a thick, hard layer that will actually catch on the carpet if you do "hike" tires causing the tire to tear. Since I've used thin CA and ran enough camber, I only have a tire chunk or peel due to a crash.

In Vegas, I ran Prism's on my TC but rather than Double Pinks I used Pinks... More grip and steering!! Now if I only would have driven a little better!!
Was there a low grip in IIC??? Pinks??? How???

In addition to running Dbl Pinks all around, and running the same camber in front and back allows me to no only rotate tires every run, but to swap the tires from back to front that way, my tires are wearing front to back evenly!

BSch, that's definitely the best part about running the same tire all around.

I would caution against rotating front to back unless you use the traction compound the same front to rear. If you sauce full rears and 3/4 in the front like most guys then you're gonna have mad crazy steering when you put the backs in the front. That traction compound still remains in the tires from the time before. I guess you can always clean them out with motor spray to get the compound off.
