No, it wont run at all with out the cable and it may damage the speedo if you try.

You can also heat up the fan with a fat tip soldering iron around the area where the fan is glued to the magnet. When you see the epoxy bubbling pull the fan off with some pliers. Then you have to re-shim the rotor the same amount of space as the fan.

last Sunday i've been practicing with this motor, i use vortex 4.5 with 5 cells....weather a bit unpredictable after several minutes of rain wash and stop, i try this motor on 1/8 track long straight.....i was gear it 7.0 FDR. after 5 minutes test the temperature below 44 degree C. I think i can drop the FDR to 6.8 but it's recommended by the manual 5 Cells Large track FDR 7.0--Is this a starting point or the max FDR i can use?

Default bearing replacement

Any suggestion on how to remove and replace the bearing on the power lead side?

I am a little reluctant to put much pressure on it.

Thanks

Jamie

Rotate the part that it's connected to (sensor board) 180 degrees so the sensor connector is pointing straight up. The assembly will just pop right out, allowing you much better access to the bearing.
