I tqed and won in stock. The nitro car broke at the beginning of the second qualifier (two speed) and I didnt run anymore. had the fastest lap times by .3 though (in gas). Most importantly, I had loads of fun and my son Michael got to run his tc3.

Man I tell ya I should mave made the drive and raced the nats myself. The place we raced at blew chunks ( no joke ) chunks of asphalt were coming off the track had a heavy dust all overthe track and no tire or set up would work ( IT felt more like off road) . Well I qualified second in the A lined up. and was ready for the tone. Some jackazz didn't see the other cars lined up or hear the stright was closed. He came full speed down the strightaway and right into me. broke right rear arm, rear shock tower, bent the hinge pin .
I just don't understand it this guy has been racing for years to . well sunday was a repair day for me. the car was in bad shape. the fine dust that was on the track got into everything. it froze both out drive bearings on the rear diff and two bearings on the right rear wheel spent 5 hours getting it back up to standards. now it's ready to do its job again
