You should never have to worry about a screws strength unless it's aluminium (aluminium screws are for those pretty boys not racers) the only worry is how easy it is to strip the screw. Hex head screws and drivers don't try and force the driver out as you turn it, like a philips does, the only problem with Hex's comes when you have a bad fitting driver that starts to rotate in the whole, rounding out the hex shape so you can't get it to turn the screw.

If you are not familiar with all the screw types, separate all the screws into different piles and match them with the instructions. That way you won't get confused as to which screw to use when you start building.
