Seems like Speedtech is pretty dedicated to parts support, I dont think it's going to die down at all, if anything, it will get better. And like I've said, I sold the SD because you need parts support, the R2 seems to be much more durable.

Yeah, I am really glad that Steve gets all the parts he can from Japan, makes it really easy to get the best stuff.

It`s all about the same between them ...but the Cuda users are now growing..because a lot of the SD users are switching over to the R2....
.. the Japanese Sports man Championship is this up and coming weekend...so it will be interesting to see what car wins this year...last year it was the R1 Barracuda..... now that ALEX has the R2..it should be really interesting to watch..

Does the aluminium shaft holders improve performance? Possibly it could improve drive train efficiency. Could there be other reasons? Are the stock plastic holders good enough for competition?

How do you access pages of a thread that aren't displayed at the top?

Thanks

The alloy shaft holders will improve efficiency by reducuing shaft wobble, so the mesh between all the gears will remain constant and no damage should be done. The plastic holders are fine, you need make sure you build the chassis with no tweak with either shaft holders but it's more important when using the plastic versions. If you're running a modified motor though you would be best to get the Speedway PAL Drive System, this holds the spur gear closely on both sides so that there is no wobble and the spur gear mesh is as accurate as possible, you do have a little more drive train weight and one more bearing to add drag but it's worth the tiny sacrifice.

to read previous pages you can click on the page numbers a couple at a time or you could go to the start and read them all again, enjoy the 50 pages you may want to do a search for a certain word or topic and select display the results as posts, instead of the normal thread result it gives you.
