Wondering if anyone has tried the new Stradus type-E body yet and how you liked, or disliked it.

I'm looking for a good body, for racing on tight carpet tracks.

I'd say PF Mazda6, it's pretty quick and responsive. Parma Alfa if you want less steering

So how are people that got the SDW liking them? There should be one more kit out there in circulation somewhere since I decided to forgo the kit and just get the parts to convert my CGM to the SDW.

So the alu bulkheads will bolt on to the stock CGM and/or SSG chassis? I haven't opened mine up yet coz I haven't decided what car to run yet for asphalt.

Can you buy the bulkheads separately? How about the short span arms in front? Can the bulkheads fit a rayspeed chassis?

the bulk heads are keyed to the chassis so i would say no they will not fit the rayspeed or cgm chassis, the arms and bulkhead will be available in a couple of weeks, i think what matt was talking about was, was just buying a sdw chassis with bulk head and few other things and using his exsisting parts, i.e. drivetrain, rear arms and such. i think its on the last page before this one there is a list of part numbers. mine should be here in a couple of days

yeah, what ritchie said. The bulkheads are keyed into the chassis so they will only work on the SDW chassis. Then you also need the motor mount and upper deck.

PMR- Yes you can buy the bulkheads seperately but not as of yet; and as for the 'short' span arms, they're only 2-3mm shorter, the trick that they did was hand drill the hinge pin holes 2-3mm away from the front bulkheads. What's even greater is that we can still use the new HD arms!! You're still going to have to trim some material off though.

seems like everyone was saying to get the tub type chassis now the worlds one is a flat type like the ssg...why?

ummm..so that you keep buying more and more of the (more or less)same stuff??
But seriously i think Yokomo operates on a continously improving policy, so it lets you get all the improvements as immediately as possible, unlike some other brands where you'll have to wait a year and get a totally different kit.
generally the tub CGM chassis is for higher bite tracks like carpet, and the graphite decked chassis is for tarmac/asphalt. Considering Yokomo was aiming for the worlds title (outdoors) they made an improved decked car and also made 555 units along the way.

Hi guys,

I got my CGM for Christmas, along with titanium screws, a lightweight Yokomo driveshaft and an aluminium motor mount. I finished building it today. It went together great (even though it's only my 2nd rc car) and is really fast with my Novak Brushless, which i'm running in it at the moment. I only tested it on the street though.

I still have to weigh it, but then i'll post some pictures
