I got that weight with the diff up front, i cant imagine what it would be with my solid steel speedtech spool!

BLAKE. Greetings from Malta.

Yes I do have titanium screws. Titanium axles only on the rear hubs as the front ones wear too much. Alloy drive shafts all round, and titanium input shafts. The prop shaft is a Tobee Craft one which is very light. The outer suspension arm mounts are also alloy but again it's a question of reliability over weight saving.

I originally had an alloy spool which I had made up myself, but I now have a steel one. It weighs a bit more but is more reliable.

Our weight limit is 1500 grams so I still have a long way to go.

The amazing thing is that, despite being 50 grams heavier than it's competitors it is still ballistic, and very competitive. My son can do the same times with it that he does with his TC3, and everyone that drives it is impressed.

It's a great car.

My CGM has all the light weight stuffs like Johnbull's, except the optional chassis, with a small cooling fan and personal transponder, it weights 1550g. I think a stock CGM will weight around 1600g. But as Johnbull said, even the car is heavy, it feels light on the track, my car can accelerate just as fast as my friend's Pro4, which is 1460g.

No weight problem here as some others seem to have. I've just weighed my CGM and it's 1375 grams minus the body (I haven't painted it yet to be able to add it in).

I don't know numbers off hand but the Rayspeed towers I run are the original ones, not the ones just recently released.

All I have done is trimmed the front one where the rear body mounts fit so that it's shorter and neater.

Default New shock towers

Do you have pics of the new Rayspeed shock towers?

I run Sorex 24 and sometimes 28. So far had 5 meets with the 24 and no sign of wear.

These towers are designed to be used with the sss (short) shocks.

Front tower
Thanks!!! I guess that is an expensive option to take since I have to buy additional stuff!

If I go for the Old RS Towers do I still need to change to sss(short). Maybe ti further lighten up my CGM I will just go with the Yokomo CF Towers from the Black special so that no ned to by additional shock parts.

Thumbs up New Rayspeed shock towers

I still prefer my old Rayspeed shock towers as it has more holes for the shocks.
