I got the results I wanted, with a flex that feels "inbetween" having and not having the chassis stiffener. I also noticed that when I would twist the chassis by hand, the left rear of the car would stay tweaked up, and as soon as I loosened the screws on the upper deck, it would lay flat again. With the cut upper deck, the chassis holds no tweak. I will upload the pics of the upper deck right now, and post them in a couple mins.
Thanks Randman. Nice pics too!

I'll try doing away with the center stiffener first and see what happens.

Anyone experiencing the same problem? Seems like quite a number of complains in this area?

Care to share and wats the remedy?

Thanks Joe

After I broke and axle...I switched to M.I.P's and never had any problems. Just purchase front and rear MR4TC and you are all set. Don't worry about getting rear dog bones for the front...they do not fit. somehow they are too short for the front. I've got shinny front bones and aluminum in the rears.

The main reason I did away with the upper deck is because of the rear end tweak though... I knew it would flex more which happened to be a target as well, I just didn't want any tweak on the racetrack. I think it will handle great on parking lots with this setup, but I might have to get a solid upper deck for SoCal where I have a bit more traction.

That's killer, I was wondering what the yokomo and associated rates were, everyone is talking about running associated springs on the car, so I think I will give it a shot too.

The SD comes with stainless springs, not silver right?

Stainless springs..

if you're going to change to AE springs don't forget to change your shock ends and spring retainer.

Yup, I know about that, but what about the pivot ball that goes into the shock end, will the stock ones fit, or do I need AE?

The easiest thing to do is use ballcups for the bottom shock ends. That is what most of the factory guys are doing. You can see some pics on my website. www.mo-net.ws

What Spring rates do you recommend if using the AE springs? I got the yok yellow, white, pink and orange...did not know if I need to switch or just run with what I got?

Would you recommend the Ball cup bottom swap if a person was to keep running Yok springs?

Jeff

No need to swap if you're still using Yok springs.... Yok springs are shorter than AE's and Rayspeed springs.

jeff this saterday I ran asc. blue in the front and silver in the back, AE 40 wt. oil, and #3 pistons mounted in the stock position this setup seemed to work pretty good at mikes. Although I only got to run two races. I think it's just driver preference I was using AE spings because I already had all of them from my tc3.

I just picked up a set of green and silver for the SD, going to run green in rear. Hopefully it will be a descent setup to start out with. Just ordered a bundle of parts from Rainbow Ten, including the Suzuki steering knuckles, tobee craft driveshafts, square axles, and a bunch of misc stuff that is hard to find stateside. Can't wait till I get that order!
