i use my stock suspension on my black special, so i dont know what stiffness springs they are. i am running sway bars front and back and ive noticed a difference from when i dont run them. i have the same 2 degree toe and 5mm ride height, but depending on how smooth your track is, you could lower it a mm or so. i use hpi 31mm super wide radial tires and love them, but we dont have any rules on tires, so those might not work at your track.

i alternately run my LCG with my BD. both have the same set-up. track in indoor asphalt with low to medium grip

2deg camber front and rear
no spacers under the suspension pin mounts
1mm spacer on the bulkhead camber ball mounts, front and/or rear
shocks mounted on the 2nd from the outermost hole, front and rear (but i sometimes put it on the 3rd hole on the BD)
5mm ride height
6mm on the droop gauge (hudy) for the front
full droop at the rear (remove the droop pin)
stock sway bars front and rear
2deg rear toe block
0deg front toe
sorex 36R with medium type b inserts, hard wheels
Paragon FXII sauce

not entirely sure since i run the kit as i got it (2nd hand). springs are yellow (don't know what brand), shocks are 3-hole i believe from the kit. i use trinity 30wt oil front and rear. might try 40/30 combo though.

i dont race stock so i cant tell you anything on that. i race open brushless. im running 30wt oil i nthe shocks, so i would think 30-40 would be fine. its a yokomo lcg, so chances are that it has stuff that is set for racing on it, so i wouldnt worry all that much about the shock pistons and stuff. worry more about grip, speed, handleing, etc. i dont mess with shock stuff other then oil weight and im fine with it. just my opinion though

Hey, was surfing the net for LCG info and came across an "LCG 2" on the Yokomo Japan website

As it was all in Japanese, couldn't undestand what upgrades are included, although I did see the previously optional 'long steering posts' in a picture.

Has anyone heard of it before and know whats new on it. Also, an link's to websites would be great !

are you sure it was a LCG2? it could have been an upgraded LCG. just showing what you could do with it. i know rayspeed does that about the ssg version. they show pictures pf what can be done to it.

Hi Streetracer745. I initially thought it may have been 'fresh advertising' too...however then noticed it was labed "LCG 2".

I have since found another link in English, it seems it's nothing to get excited about after all . It now has a "stick-pack compatible chassis", rest is the same.

Just out of curiosity, will the SD top deck fit on the CGM? How stiff is the stock CGM, as far as enough for foam or is there quite a bit of flex?

I would use the Rayspeed top deck, and yes the CGM is stiff enough for foam use. In the stock class it's a very good car, Cheap and fast. You can still find deals on them. A Rayspeed SD car is also good.

recently picked up some BD-500a aluminum diffs for LCG fron and rear diffs. I will be testing them out soon, heard that they notch pretty easily.

Let us know. I am using in the rear delrin diff-halves by Excell from Japan. They are pretty strong and show almost no wear.

do notch pretty quickley ,they file out slots to insert blades ,serious filing here as the ali is quite thick

also brough a team bomber spool ,the blades just disentergrate in 1-2 races
only found 1 place that sells replacemnet baldes aswell
