To fit heavier BL motors and lighter lipo batteries, I hope that Corally (or Specialized) comes up with a wider chassis (on the right side) that will allow us to move the lipos outward to balance things without adding a ton of weight to the battery side.

Thoroughly understood. But, I would rather keep the car light and only place weight where I want it to be.

Another option would be for Specialized to develop a new offset motor mount for the Phi. That would go a long way towards helping to balance the chassis with BL. I may look into milling down my existing Rear Bulkhead/Motormount to bring my BL motor inboard.

even with the added weight to the battery side my car with the body weights 49 ounces( 3lbs 1 oz) 4 ounces under weight

Does anyone still blueprint the shocks? I know you don't need to cut down the shafts on the phi, but does anyone still replace one of the o-ring with a washer?

Sorry Joel...Other than not twisting the plastic cap when screwing it onto the shock body, I already knew about the other blueprint suggestions. Never replaced the second o-ring with a washer.

Does anyone know what part number COR10013 is? Described as "Thrust Washers US Spec Universal Wheels (1 pair)."

I can believe that they are just "Thrust Washers"; but, the reference to "US Spec Universal Wheels (1 pair)" does not compute.

Thanks.

Yup, thats still a common practice with all the team guys. Makes a huge difference on the track. The car will be more reactive and the overall feel of the car is better.

The thrust bearing in the Phi is also the same thrust bearing in the diff on the sp12x us edition for "us type" wheels.

Jacko- Yup... get losi part number A5050 and take the biggest spacers in that bag and replace the inside spacer and 2nd o ring in the shock with that big spacer. That link just posted shows how to do it

Joel- None that I can think of really. The car is pretty good out of the box with the setups we supply online. I put a little CA on the threads of the diff and wipe off the excess to help "enlarge" the threads slightly. That seems to help them from loosening up. And... when running the very outside hole on the rear arm for shock position, I just use a ball stud and ball cup for the shock end.

Eddie10- Low shock towers were general designed for racing on carpet with foam tires. It allows us to lower the body more to give better aero performance.
