I agree on the build, smooth, things fell into place. Out of habit I did sand and seal the edges. At the same time I used a file and a freshly built pack and filed the slots so that the battery was flush with the bottom of the chassis and sealed the battery slots, too.

I showed the chassis to a few of the other RDX drivers last night at the track to compare and to make sure I didn't miss anything critical (another pair of eyes never hurts). One of the things noticed was the aluminum coating has changed from the last shipment I like the more pewter color of the aluminum of mine. I hope Corally sticks to it. Of concern is the steering linkage turnbuckles, they look like AE's but made of aluminum... I am thinking that I may have to get some Lunsfords soon.

No problems with the diffs, other than having to grind down a craftsman wrench to fit. I think that its pretty f'd that a specialty tool is not included with the kit, after all, Corally did include the torx driver. I don't think it would have been that bad to include a wrench cut from scrap CF. Thankfully there was a driver at the track with it when I built my diffs.

To tighten the diffs, you could have used a 1.5 allen or a flat head screw driver. The new color is pretty cool looking too.

It was easier to hold the nut with my fingers until snug then put it in the car. Then spin the wheel until the tool locks the nut. Just what I did because I didnt have a wrench.

That is the wrench I was talking about. I would have gladly paid the extra $5 - $10 for the kit to have had it included in the package. It wouldn't have broke anyone purchasing the kit, hell, they just dropped >$500 on the new kit at that point, what's another $10? It would have made assembly much easier. It's not impossible to assemble them without it, but we are talking about the build experience going smoother, and everyone that has a Phi will be sporting the bling CF wrench at the track when tuning on their cars.

I will probably buy one anyway, (I'm not mad, btw) my thought is that it was lame not to include it.

Heres why..... (---CORALLY DOESN'T come out with a new car every year...!)

-AND- NEW TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN IS EXPENSIVE!

There's always next year Todd. Just trying to be positive. BTW, I will be missing the start of the chase. My parents bought me a ticket to NHIS. I had to give the ticket to my uncle who is, of all things, a Gordon fan.

BTW, Speedmerchant cars don't ever have broken t-bars inside them (unless you peel the other dude really, really bad! - in that case, please post photos)...

The phi car comes with aluminum castor blocks and aluminum rear hubs.
It also comes with a complete spring set.

Add those parts to your xray and your well above the price of the phi.
