This whole "Xray isn't as good as other cars" thing is really sad, I mean really sad and actually quite stale now - look at things going on in the world muahdib4 or whatever your name is...important things.....and you spend your time slagging off a toy car manufacturer, oh dear.

Any car can win be it an Xray, a cyclone, a Yokomo or any of the decent kits of today - it all depends on the car setup, equipment, the driver of course, and a certain degree of luck.

I can't believe i am wasting my time replying to this but it's just pathetic how one person can have a personal vendetta against a company making radio controlled cars......I'm off.

I'll check this thread again once it's purely about the 2007 TITC.

So, I'm just wondering exactly what 2 years in a row Xray won Reedy? I'm assuming it was prior to the last 3 then...or are you just pulling numbers out of your ass.
I guess the 19 turn class means nothing, ha. I race for corally usa. I have noproblem admitting when a company has a good product. Your looking at the modified class only. The biggest racing classes is far stock and 19 turn. So, these results in these classes matter alot.

You know, that's really what I think but Xray owners always brag about their wins and how much better their cars are then every other one. I just like to bring them back down to earth and show that they don't ALWAYS win and it isn't ALWAYS about the chassis...it's still more driver skill and I do understand that. Just want to make sure they do too.

Here's a pic of Ronald's car straight after the 3rd A-main. He was the only brushless guy in the A-main, Moore only tested in practice (as explained earlier) and Hupo ran TC-Spec speedo with brushed motor.
Surikarn was the next best brushless guy after Ronald and was very fast, just not in the 4th round of qualifying where he dropped from 2nd to 12th...

I think it has already been mentioned that the brushless guys didn't use motor heatsinks or fans.

I was more surprised to see the composite diff halves in there......

(Victor A beat me to it!!!)

It wasn't long ago that all the brushless talk was about how it couldn't handle the high temperatures. What's been the major change in the last year that has seemingly fixed this? Is it simply the switch to sintered rotors?

The new LRP ESC's sure do sound (and look!) nice.
