Look at this picture on Repair Invoice from CC,

If he told you to cut off the connectors and direct solder then no it should not void your warranty.

As for the shaft breaking yes that should be under warranty as well.

Call Joe direct at 913-390-6939 Ext 119

There's a difference between removing the bullets and soldering wire to wire, and soldering the motor wires directly to the ESC PCboard. It sounds like you did the latter, which apparently voids the warranty. It sounds like you were told to do the former.

people always complain about the fitment of the mamba but if u turn the esc it fits just fine. the usb cable is facing the motor, thus if i want to make a change ill just take out the motor. i think this is better as i don't make changes to the profile that regular.
sooooo would this void warrenty?

The MM 7700kv is as fast as the Novak 3.5? Who says this? MM7700 is not even fast as the LRP 5.5.Far away from any 3.5 motor.I own a MM7700,an LRP 4.5 and a REEDY NEO 4STAR and i can tell for sure that MM 7700 is the slower. So don't compare the 7700 with any of the 3.5 motors.

It is my understanding that removing the plugs, shortening the wires and directly soldering the wires together does not void the warranty.

But removal of the wires from the esc circuit board itself and re-soldering of wires to it does void the warranty.

Please stay tuned for a official response from Joe Ford.

I'll drive on 1/8th on-road circuit.

Anyone try these? Thanks.
Are you saying you want to try these in a 1/8th car? I am trying to build an electric 1/8th car and am looking for a motor and ESC. I need something with 1500 watts.

Cheers

Thats a bold statement, the first I've read where the 7700 was put up against the Novak 3.5 and it said flat out that "the 7700 is not in the realm of the 3.5".

Anything with those lipos you bought some weeks ago?

If you are going with that project, your best bet would be the Mamba 4600 or 5700. With those, you can safely run 3s lipo without worrying about burning up your motor. If you want to get gully, go with the Novak HVMAXX with the 6.5 BL (550 can). You can go up to 4S lipo, gear it right, get massive run times with very good speed. If you get a good pit man, go with the 4.5 (550 type) gear it properly, monitor those temp and have him switch packs...if you are pondering racing competitively.

When i was driving at a race last week my MM speedo got ripped of the servo tape somehow and started getting dragged down the straight at my track...., i brought it in, it still worked surprizingly, but the wire that hooks up to the receiver is chewed up and frayed...it still works fine as i mentioned, but i am sure this thing could snap any time.......is there away to fix it up good without voiding the warrenty, or doing anything to tricky? Also, sometimes when i give my system a small increment of throttle (running the 6900kv motor by the way) at a start from a stop, it goes backwards about an inch and then kicks into going forward...a little funky? This started happening after it got dragged........what a day that was, i wish i could just get a new one!! lol.

After some changes i made on wiring and the throttle curves, i have to reconsider what i wrote.MM7700 IS FAST.Even faster than my LRP 4.5.Hardwire esc with motor was the trick. Why i didn't do it before?

So that is because of the losses in those banna plugs connectors???
