Actually izzyracer the Hacker system did fail. One of the guys on my enduro team figured out a formula that actually proved if have a reasonably fast brushed motor (fast enough to to pull away from a brushless motor a little bit a lap) you will beat a brushless motor system. So don't rule out brushed motors in the enduro.

Fangio, in what way did the Hacker system fail?
I still think brushless vs. Brushed, it will beat a brushed motor. Maybe not by the fastest lap but how long it can last. Brushless will not deteriorate over time while brushed motors get worn out while you use it. It's just less efficient.
There are a lot of factors to consider. But pound for pound, there is just no way. Well maybe if a Formual Pit Team and say Kinwald is driving for the Brushed and I was driving the Brushless and I have the Pope and a bunch of nuns as a pit team...maybe!

Default Kinwald is sponsored by Novak, I wonder why

he did not compete. Someomne please bring some excitement to this forum. Whats the scoop? Maybe if we could read about some of the controversy, fights, disagreements, words exchanged behind the scenes, it would attract more people to the hobby. You know, like Hockey and Nascar. People eat that stuff up. I want to read who has a big head and etc.
Maybe then some of these guy would get reconized like John Maconro of RCs.

I believe Kinwald, as well as some other sponsored drivers, weren't allowed by Trinity/Losi to run other-brand cars, specifically Tamiya... breach of contract? At least, that's what I heard. Come to think of it, an enduro race with any kind of car allowed would really be interesting...

Now we know that a Tamiya car can survive a brutal 4 hour run... I'm sure a lot of people are curious if a XXXs, TC3 or even X-Ray can achieve this feat (or even double the brutality)? Let the "Battle of the Manufacturers" Enduro begin... =)

The Hacker team did not have any failure with the motor system all day, in fact the same system was used thoughtout the day of racing. We did however have multiple problems with servo and radio problems as well as mechanic failure of the chassis. All in all it was a good learning experience and next race our team will bring a gun to the gunfight this time instead of a dull knife.

Oh! I guess you did!

Maybe it's time to think of a brushless setup for your team!

Hi Everyone,
The Super Sport is not going to be our fastest Brushless System. Novak hopes to release a faster "competition" system eventually. (sorry no time frame) It is a sport system intended for users of all skill levels. You can find complete results at the links below.

It is no problem, what happened was that our speed control had taken a hit and came off the chassis at the hands of one of our drivers mishaps which allowed the connector wire to the receiver to rub down on the track, so the motor and controller lost signal. We will be prepared next time.

Ben Bautista - Do you have different models of Hacker systems?
Which ones did you particularly use and why?
