I like RP30-s but as Adrian stated the rims break like glass...
How can I make sure that the set I buy at my LHS has the new nylon type rims?

I wonder why no one has mentioned lrp (Vtec) tires?

I've never heard of those. In the states, most racers use cs, rp, and sorex tires. I've been using medial pro premounts and they're really loose even with me using blue front/rear green springs with shocks layed down. Same setup with sorex and the car just wouldn't turn.

A lot of LRP stuff doesn't make it to the shops here in the US (we don't get any of the tires and motors, we get all the ESC's and chargers though)

Schuamcher USA has only been shipping Nylon CS27's and RP30's since April. I doubt there are very many ABS wheel RP30's left in the US. You can tell the diffrence by looking at the wheel. The ABS wheel is white but the Nylon super bright white and kind of translucent...like cooked egg whites. The nylon rims are also more flexible (thats why they are faster).

schumacher imports it.you can contact Adrian M if you want to purchase some.i do use the warmers with both.there is something about the dip that works better on the rp tires.you wont regret trying it.when i use tire tweak on the take off tires, i bake it in with the tire warmers and take it off with buggy grip right before i race.works really well

I never bought tire warmers cuz I've only needed during the winter..so I just heat them with a hair dryer.

Is dipping a rag with nitro fuel and cleaning off the tires bad? cuz that's what I do and it provides plenty of traction.

i use motor spray on a rag to clean the tires right before i add the traction additive.my reason for using the warmers is to open the pores in the rubber and allow the traction additive to really get to the tire.it also gets the tires pre warmed up so it doesnt take 2 or 3 laps for the tires to get good.they are good as soon as they hit the track.

What insert are people using when running a sorex 28 on carpet.

Also if anyone has a tyre/insert combination they suggest it would be great!
