Default RC Maker SP1 & SP1-F

Exciting news from RC Maker, announcing SP1 and SP1 touring car and SP1-F FWD touring car, to be released around the middle of the year.

Here is what RC Maker has said so far:

“Our biggest dream is becoming a reality, thanks to you! Thanks to our incredible growth over the past 6 years, owner Ryan Maker has been able to undertake this massive project. Designing, manufacturing and releasing our very own 1/10th EP Touring Car and 1/10th EP FWD Touring Car, the SP1 and SP1-F.

Prototype testing is well underway, and we are very happy with the progress so far. Of course in typical RC MAKER fashion, you can expect something a bit outside of the box, pushing the limits, the only way we know…

Stay tuned for the official release…”

Might be better to split the 4WD and FWD cars into separate threads.

I do wish him all the best, and I hope he succeeds where others have failed.

Those who have fallen by the way, did so because having a good product is maybe only 25% of the challenge. Supporting it is the other 75%, which needs a team of good people.

Have bought several products from RCMaker of the years and all have been very high quality. Looking forward to see what he comes up with.

I think his reputation will help with the sales on this car, and I doubt he will release anything he deems less than competitive.

We will get the first look at how that is coming along as it sounds like he is planning to bring the car to TITC in a weeks time for its first debut.

If you read Ryan's book "Speed Secrets" you will realize this guy is brilliant. I have no doubt that his new touring car will be a rocket. So many designers will just copy others and go with trends even if they have no basis in physics, but Ryan will do what is right and I'm really looking forward to what he has done.

As long as I can set it up with antidive, antilift and antisquat, and bumpstops to eliminate bottoming out, I'd be very happy with it.

I expect it to be based off the awsomatix concept but with his knowledge of flex characteristics. It would be better since he won't be locked into anymore manufactures design concept.

Wheres all the this car is just a copy, that won’t work, they should have done this, why did they do it that way, the weight transfer will never work, on and on!

Come on people! Let’s get with it!

No pictures yet, But we all know it’ll happen eventually!

so are we going to get an actual number off the reference plane for the first time? or it's just going to say "all these components configured in such a manner ensuring low CG, easy to drive, all the grip, all the steering, blah blah blah"?
