I've fitted the HGT but have some questions around the new suspension travel.
Initially after fitting I had trouble depressing the suspension so that the chassis touches the bench. To solve this I fitted the thinner alloy shock spring retainers, this allowed more shock travel, but still not enough. Then I removed 1mm from the shock ends and have enough travel so that the chassis can only just be pressed to the bench.
Once chassis is pressed to the bench, there is no excess travel to lift the wheels off the bench.
I'm not using the thin spacer under the hubs, with just the 3mm on top. I think this is not helping the issue.
Firstly, do I need to worry? I'm basing my expectations on what the car was like prior to fitting the HGT. Is this limited shock travel by design? Or have a done something wrong? Interested to hear if any others have similar travel.

Are you sure your shock shaft length is correct? Should be 9mm from the damper housing to the plastic part. There should be a little bit of thread showing.

Anyone running HGT on anything other than grippy tracks? I'm not sure it's worth the change over at this point. So the arms are longer and the rear toe in is now all at the outer hub, I'm assuming that softer springs and higher inner links will compensate?
I may save the HGT until we go indoors...
