I don't understand where this is coming from?????? The racers of NYC gave their constructive feedback to Donny and he adjusted the program that fits them and 360's VERY LARGE INDOOR TRACK where GT12 21.5 is just slow.

If your not going to attend the race why derail this thread on how we do business in FL??????????

I guess next time every track in the USA will check with you before they think about making any changes to the class 🤷‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

It’s all good! Hey, our GT12 program is not any faster than a 21.5 race motor, it’s just accomplished for 1/3rd the price! We just think that is what GT12 should be about, affordable fun! But, there is no wrong way to do it, whatever works for any track is good for them!

Thanks guys!

So, what's the story regarding 1/12 mod or 6.5 super duper stock class motors?

2.9 per pole?

Cheating? Miss understanding? Politics?

Hallelujah! This is what I keep saying at our track. Why not go with a lower turn Fixed-Timing motor to keep the same performance!
We run open 17.5 pan car still and people are tired of the expensive motor of the month deal. If they went with the Fixed-Timing 13.5 motors I believe the performance would stay the same as you say.

One word of caution... We've seen some noticeable performance variance on the Reedy FT motors. Plus they are boat anchors compared to modern top-end motors. My titanium and aluminum screw'd Roche P12 EVO weighs over 760 grams with the Reedy 13.5 FT motor and is under 730 grams with a modern high-performance adjustable timing 17.5 motor. I'm not sure how the Hobbywing or Trinity offerings compare.

Interesting. Sounds like some investigation needs to be done once a decision is made. Thanks for the heads up!

Motor of the month is hog wash-run what is out there. there is no such thing a all the motors with fixed timing are equal. There will always be some good ones and better ones. The same with fixed gear ratios. Racing is racing - Driving skill and set-up. face it some people drive better than others.
