GT12 is 17.5 fixed gear and rubber tires, GTP is open gearing on foam tires. Handout motors are a good thing, and ground zero for COVID-19 in the United States having RC races again is a great thing.

We race open gearing with our 21.5's and anyones motor. We have never stopped racing in the sunshine state. Oh and we run foam as there is only one race a month on carpet .

Does this NY Track still have the Track GT Grey carpet or did they go back to CRC Black?

What was the reviews on the Gray Track GT? I thought it might be OK since you didn't have to glue sidewalls.

Personally I liked it, no glue and I ran the same set of foam tires all day. 360 is a fun place to race either way though

We run a $50 dollar Fixed-Timing Hobbywing Spec motor with a fixed gearing rule. This combination provides the same performance as an open 21.5 $150 dollar "race" motor, with much closer more competitive racing. Hope this helps....

Not gluing was very enjoyable but the locals preferred the black carpet over the gray so we switched back. At the end of the day CRC black has many advantages to it as well and the new batch we just put down this week is pretty incredible with no tire wear and no fuzzing - just bring glue

What ever you say Donny. We'll still stay with what we started down here ,as we are very competitive with our system.

I wasn't asking anyone to change their program, I was explaining how we run ours because it was questioned. I'm sure your turnouts are great so there would be no reason to change anything.
