I have tried both removing the bulkhead screw and the forward motor mount screw and I think it's a better idea to remove the forward motor mount screw that screws from beneath. Someone pointed out that removing the bulkhead screw might cause havok with you drivetrain since the pinion can separate from the spur slightly which I have to concede might cause problems at high cornering speeds.

hi Guys
after nearly a week of careful building, my tc5r is 99.5% finished
the .5% is the fact that there is no antenna holder in my kit 8(
only a $2 part, but will take 10 days to ship over the New Zealand
comming from Xray touring cars i wasnt sure what to expect from the tc5r kit, after reading all 600 odd pages on here, i was quietly confident with the choice to come back to associated (i have six rc10s, from the original to the b4).
once the antenna holder arrives, ill be looking forward to some serious testing.

Quick question (well a couple)
Been looking at T2,008 but a tc5r has come up at a good price.
All my racing is outdoors on asphalt using rubber tyres, 17.5T / 10.5T.
What are the tc5r like?
Is there any major complaints / issues with them?
What are the common parts that break / wear?
Are there any "must have" upgrades?
Thanks

I don't have one but I have been told they make excellent spools too, which remove the need for bone blades, can't be a bad thing.
if u want more flex the bulkhead screw on bottom there are 3 in each bulkhead remove the middle one on all 4 bulkheads

I'm not too sure about that, since we are talking about torsional flex from front to back, if you want to have more by removing the middle screw then the bulkhead itself would have to flex, which is unlikely. I don't think you gain anything by removing the middle screw, but perhaps I am wrong, laptimes tell the truth in the end.
