I ordered the TC-5 Layshaft and belt from TIR a 2 weeks ago today.. sent paypal to the address they sent... still no layshaft or belt... I have sent emails and no replies... Anyone have any better luck??

As said prior, the Team Magic E4 was just announced, not in stock anywhere yet. I like the design, but I'm still cautious of 3-belt setups for eletric TC. I run the TC5 and like it so far. Quick and easy to work on. Only crazy thing is the inboard suspension arm screws, you must have a 2mm ball hex screw driver.

Extra parts, this goes the same for any car. You should purchase extras of anything that hangs off the main chassis. This means everything from steering blocks, front and rear hubs and arms, hing pins, bearings, spacers, shims/spacers, and ball studs.

To get the best for the money, I purchased 2x complete kits to start with. This way you get at least one extra of everything, and then as you use these parts, you start buying extra's from there.

No problem. Their numbers are accurate as to if they have an item...unlike other sites that hook you, then say nothing when their out. I saw the one listed after I posted...then it was gone that eve...I think you got it too.

Are there any other diff rings from other cars that will fit the tc5 diffs?

I am putting this setup on my car right now as I build my second and was looking at the rear shims. I that really 3.5 degree shim for the rwd rear arm mount. That gives it a TON of toe-in. Thought I would ask before I build the whole thing.

In the FWD mount for the rear of the car there is a 1 degree shim. So if you subtract the 3.5-1 you get 2.5 degree's of toe. It pretty much sounds like he spaced the rear of the car out a little wider in the rear.

I recieved my associated spool kit today and i was wondering if it includes the screws that connect it together? because i didnt recieve it. Also if they are not included what are the right screw to use on them?

I have tried the Top racing spool with very good result.

Besides, I prefer AE redesign a new low friction front & rear belt for stock racing, metal spur gear hub & diff. outdrive etc. TC5 has big space to rise the potential, high power racing as 3.5t BL especially.

Where did you read or hear about these "new" low friction belts and metal hub? I don't see it on their website, and the low friction belts we've read about in this thread are Yokomo BD belts.

Doesn't look like Horizon has them yet TC5 Spool. I've heard the distributors do have them though...suppose to get one on order from SIR...I hope.
