We are considering optional parts in due time, but nothing has been set in stone.

Front and rear the same setting?? Is this something new to the belted car. I always ran the rear a little looser than the front.

Thanks for the info. The car is built and the batteries are chargin'.

I know this is WAY too early to ask, but i just want to throw it out there. Is AE planning on making a normal team version of the tc5 or will it just be FT?

There will be no "Team" version, just the Factory Team TC5.

Yea, maybe a bit tighter in the front. A lot of times you can tune the diff action by changing the grease. Try the Associated Silicone Grease (#6636) in the front and the standard Stealth lube in the back.

Just remember, once the diff slips once, it's only downhill from there. It's better to start tight and loosen.

Hi, Brent

Instead use the Associated Silicone Grease (#6636)on front diff, can i use the front diff with 1/8 out setting; a bit tighter than the rear(1/4 out), what is better way?

By the way could you post here the setups (power values) of Sphere TC you used on Reedy Race 2007?

Thanks a lot,

I was having a hard time finding some pinion gears at my LHS for this weekend's race - do you think a 72tooth 48 pitch Spur gear will fit without any problems?

Juan,

Thanks, I will be there on the 23rd. Let me know how it goes. I know Ivy and Zeldin will have one in the fall. I am sure we can work together to get the car dialed.

Inquiry minds want to know if Kevin is bringing out the new TC5 to the Express Race for some beat down. Teach had his out last weekend at 301 so I hope to see another one this weekend.

For those running the Futaba S9550 servo did you use the thick spacer to mount the servo?

Brian,

As tempting as a beating would be this weekend, I am sorry to say I will not be at the Express Race.

The car will hit the carpet at Horsham first. I need to shake the rust off and see what I can do with the car.

Brent,

You need to come out next year for the EXpress Race.

I did not use any spacers to mount the 9550 servo and it fits fine.

I have not run the car yet though.

It will fit, but getting the motor close enough to it for the pinion to touch, I am not sure of. What kind of motor are you running? My guess is that would need a 28 tooth pinion in order to mesh with a 72 spur, again this ia a guess. That would give you a 5.14 ratio which is good for siler can racing and maybe the novak 13.5.
