I prefer the look of DTM and GT1 cars rather than family sedans.Personally I think stock sedan should just be changed to stock 21.5.
I don't see 1/8 GP or 1/12 EP complaining their cars don't look realistic enough For those classes it's all about aero rather than being realistic.
The reason no one complained when Mazda's were the norm was because nothing better existed. You don't know what you're missing until someone pushes the boundaries. Another thing to add, no one is stopping you from running the old mazda 6s.

At least it's not continually changing classes
Here it seems to be a pack mentality following one or two people with the "Gift of the Gab" We've gone from Crawlers back to what was a long deceased VTA class (as they ran at AOC and I guess had to rationalise the expense) to 17.5 GT, to VTA on Foam tyres, to Short Course jumps, to Tamiya Trucks, to No Prep Drag Short Course cars, and now Speedway circle racing. Sprinkled in amongst all this resurrecting 1/12, trying 10.5 motors, then 2s 1/12 then Stock and "GT" 1/12 then mod 1/12 It's dizzying thinking about it all
I can only hope they one day turn their sales pitches to touring cars, I miss A and B mains in classes.

You, Sir, have been served lol
You know what draw people to touring? speeeeed! It is part of the hobby, and speed, trajectories and setups is way more important than realistic bodies... at least for me.

I'm not seeing anyone being served there. Those pics don't look anything alike. And TC is one of the slower classes in my area Pro10, 12th scale, even 4WD mini and FWD TCR (hatch bodies) are faster than most of the TC cars (excluding TC mod which doesn't get many entries). TC started as a buggy conversion with scale bodies, it wasn't designed for speed.

Not even close. But thanks for playing. Tadpole body.
One of these days I'll mold my own body using that sperm tad pole body as a starting point. Convex curve the hood as much as the shock tower allows. Sink the windshield so it has side dams, and also give the windshield a convex curve.
As for speed and all that. Mod 12th scale is king of indoors by a pretty large margin. Try that.

What the picture of the Zoo racing body (from that angle) fails to show is that, unlike the roof of the BMW in that other picture that it somewhat resembles, hypothetical back seat passengers would need to touch their shoulders with their ears to fit back there, thanks to the non-existent roofline past the cockpit up front.
Speaking of the roofline, I love how a 5mm wide portion (or less) of the roof bubbles up to a peak - no doubt to meet the minimum height requirement. I’m guessing that the GBS doesn’t have a specified minimum as to HOW MUCH surface area needs to meet that height?
Anyway, for what it is, it’s a pretty sharp looking body - as are many of the current bodies available today... but if performance is all anyone cares about in the class, and you want to have a fleet of bodies on hand as yet another tuning aid, then just rename the class to “190mm EP On Road” and be done with it.
