I bet they ditch the brass bushings that go into the diff housing from the outside. It'll be like the Yok and Xray housings. Interesting they list the new housing as being compatible with the TA07, but not the 419xr. Does the TA07 not use the same diff?

They are interchangeable.

This looks promising
  • New 2-part front upright designs utilize separate arm and bearing housing components.
  • New rear uprights are redesigned for use with 3mm diameter shafts.
  • New front hub carriers have been revised specifically for this chassis, with greater resistance to shocks and crashes. They are also compatible with 3mm diameter shafts. Upper and lower flanged tubes are now identical.

Car looks like it will be awesome , world wide release date of November 20th I heard.

I am little confused as to why it lists TRF420 and Ta07 for the diff and spool but not the 419
by the pic the pulley’s are on both sides of the spur again (darn)

If the new C-hubs hold up, this will be one seriously solid car.

Kind of looks like a 419xr with a new suspension. Don’t think it would be to hard to update a 419xr to close to this

New suspension looks interesting. Most parts are already on my 419. So the upgrade set will be a big welcome. Biggest minus is, that the new aluminium rear uprights I recently bought, will not fit for the new 3mm axles...

And it does not seem, that 420 has ability to alter wheelbase, because it has now 43mm axles which are known from Evo6 and 7.

Looks like, damper bridges are more lower now. Especially rear. Its straight now. The function of new bumper I don't understand. It's only a little bit bigger, it seems. Maybe its compatible with the holes in the older chassis.

Price is set to 550 Euros by Seidel, which is the same as 419XR.

Yet the new xray T4/5 to be launched soon is more tha likely to be mid motor.

If so I wouldn't mind betting when many of the other top brands release new modeks they will will be mid motor.

Motors, electrics, batteries, tyres have all moved on since the TA05 so perhaps Tamiya were way ahead of time and mid motor is the now best layout
