Yet the new xray T4/5 to be launched soon is more tha likely to be mid motor.
If so I wouldn't mind betting when many of the other top brands release new modeks they will will be mid motor.
Motors, electrics, batteries, tyres have all moved on since the TA05 so perhaps Tamiya were way ahead of time and mid motor is the now best layout

But when everyone was running the 07 on Tamiya track, no one was using the mid motor setup and most of them favored rear motor setup. There have to be some reasons for awesomatix killing the field with such layout.....

We do not know till they come out, but agree they might not be true mid motor in that sense but the positioning uses equal length belts and that may be the secret rather than the motor being exactly in the middle

a lot of people don’t realize that the rear motor set up was also showing up on the top of the podiums as well. The car is more than mid motor. Ultimately will be seen this season when the Orange car releases there’s and see where the stock field does.

Center link/center plate to adjust flex seems to be ditched. No option anymore.
