Nova you need to get a Futaba 9550 for that car. The servo will not hang so far off the chassis for you.

I would install the servo in the other side of the servo mounts and mount the steering link on the other side of the servo saver too , that should move that servo further inside.

Do what Marcos suggests and to get or check if you have the other servo mount that comes in teh kit.
This mount has a offset so you can turn it around for more or less clearance with top brace.

Im waiting my BLS451 servos to arrive so would be even better.

Is there any thread youse guys don't post too???

WDY, I am going to look at a different servo as this is the one I had from the X0ray... I didn't like the way in was hanging over the chassis...

Marcos, See above... When I mounted the servo on the other side the tire would hit the edge of the servo so thats why I put it on the outside.... Maybe with a different servo it won't hit it....

Just move it more inboard and you wont have a issue with touching.
I can run 65mm foams with out any issues.

I run rubber tires 63 mm but I'll try re-mounting it again and see how it fits. I'll also try the servo mounts that came with the kit...

Better pics tomorrow I hope....

I noticed Josh Cyrul finished 2nd behind Keven Hebert in Open Mod at the JACO/SMC Canadian Challenge this past weekend. Keven has been on fire lately.
I'm curious to know how different Josh's car is to the regular Scythe since Snowbirds?

Well, I remounted it and now it fits very nicely.... I looked again and found out that I used a different servo the first time - Airtronics, this time I used a
Ko-propo servo....

THX... Now the $$$ question... Does anyone know of a list of "other car parts" that this car can use? I seem to recall Josh saying he used X-ray arms and knuckles at the Birds.... HPI arms came with the kit....
I'm going to be looking for aluminum C-hubs/steering block/etc after I get used to it....

THX in advance.. Looks like this weekend will be it's first action...

Using X-ray arms doesn't really work with the standard chassis because the arms are offset about 10mm to the rear and you can't get the wheel base adjustment to work right. If you have the US or 3.5mm chassis then I guess you should be able to get something to work.
