If word gets out and turnout is good then I'm thinkin both classes could use the run time for their respective classes.
I think that if Charlie did want to do this format too, then there is a good chance of a nice turnout if word got out.

So, 1x 3 minute qualifier and triple long mains??? Hmmm, maybe I can get on the computer tomorrow for a few minutes

Cal Raceway was awesome today!
1 qualifier and 3 mains for all classes!!
We asked and we got it, thanks Ken and Angie for makin this happen
Next week we get to do it again, this time at TQ Raceway.

I got to get back out and race. Love the UF1 format and would love to see it work with other classes as well.

I've wanted to see this as an event. Seeding during practice or just one qualifier. Then, everyone runs two mains per round. One clockwise, one counterclockwise. Combined time/laps for the winner per round. Guess entries and daylight could affect the number of rounds....

We did "loop is live in 2 minutes for heat # (yours)" at our offroad track for 1 qualifier and 2 mains motocross style
IF we had used the best 5 non consecutive laps to seed, it would have worked
Someone insisted on best 3 consecutive laps but at 20 + second laps you need over a minute to get 3 and many would run out of time and they wouldn't get it done.
Would get 2 fliers, blowout then have to start over but run out of time.
Many unhappy racers so back to default RC of 2 qualies and one main
and there it stays.
I'd be down for 1 qual and 2 mains and thought offroad should have given it a try but too many racers there were over trying stuff.
Reverse track direction, personally not a fan, we tried reverse at Tamiya and I wrecked my $#!+

The "classic" layout is fun reversed. It would be more like a Tamiya direction. And, no solid boards to kill the cars.
I like the "loop is live" thought. Drivers set their cars down, nobody goes until marshals are in position (safety). Make sure all transponders are checked in. Then announce loop is live. With staggered starts, your clock does not start until yo cross the start finish line anyway.

We will have Saturday Club Race on Nov. 24th with new race format.
The race will be One 3 minute qualifier, Triple A Mains re-sorted by average of 5 fastest laps.
Track will be open at 10am, Race will start at 12pm.
Classes & Rule will be the same as TQ Winter series.
