To clarify, 1 throw out is 1 race day or 1 round from any day?
If you attend all 7, your lowest placing position (at whichever race) will be your drop. If you missed the first race, that will most likely be your drop (you would have 0 points for that race). However, and here's the kicker - you could miss TWO races and still be up for good points if other racers miss two (or more) races. So, just because you missed one doesn't mean you're out of the running. |

F1 motor at Cal, what to do...? 21.5?
F2 class maybe if turnout is good? 25.5? Shoot, that's where the 21.5 vs 25.5 dilemma comes in. If you are in F1 class you have to change back to 25.5 to race at other tracks. What to do Saturday indeed.... |

7 races in this season, 1 throwout. So, 6 races will count.

Only mentioned 25.5 in case both F1 and F2 drivers were on hand and each group would be able to run their UF1 classes at CAL on club race day (s).

So split the track time between the two classes depending on the number of each drivers that show for each class.

Shoot, make it a national thing ;) May help make "F" racing great again ;) I know for a fact some stopped due to 25.5 being force fed to the class. |
In case you missed it, we're doing up UF1 T Shirts

Glad to see F1 back in So Cal with a strong showing of 32 cars at the opener. Had fun hanging out with friends and was not even planning to run Sunday until Mr. Jackson twisted my arm. Glad he did. Lots of good battles in all races in F1 and F2. Hector brought his A+ game for sure. Steven was fast and only his hybrid system letting him down in A1 prevented him from being on the F1 podium. Look forward to making a select few more races once I get my eyes done. ;-O

Just posted on the Cal Raceway Facebook page:
Special Practice Day this Saturday September 22! Gates open at 10am until 5pm. Special Focus on Mchassis and F1's! Controlled practices available if needed. Come out and join us. $10 per person all day. I'm running the computer so I know they'll be some controlled track time :) |
Race recap is up on the UF1 site: Race Recap: UF1 2018/2019 Winter Series 2018 ? Race 1 - Australian GP | UF1 RC
Thanks everyone for coming out. Great round 1 and congrats to the winners! Special thanks to Fenix Racing, PROTOform, Tamiya and Team Associated for donating equipment for display - cool to see them supporting the UF1! Also, if I can get the following drivers to head over to this page and fill it out pretty please. It's for after-race graphics. You'll like 'em, but I need correct info: Link: UF1 Formula 1 Super License | UF1 RC - Formula 1 RC Racing Drivers: Alex M Alex Navarrette Doug Rebal (I know you did this once but I can't seem to find the email) Thanks guys - tons |
