Hey Boomer. Any word on a possible updated list for approved 19 turn motors? I know the Komodo Dragon will be everywhere by then and the Checkpoint Money 19 is already being used all over.

Word is the Checkpoint will never be ROAR legal because of the vent design. I'm sure the Komodo will be added to the ROAR list before Vegas.

Yeah... It has something to do with the vents being too close to the end of the can or something.... kinda lame if you ask me.

The rule on the can vents have been on the books for the last 2 years. Its not a surprise to anyone. Its there to prevent manufacturers from fooling around with the cans magnetic flux to improve performance. Checkpoint buys their cans from Yokomo just like Reedy and LRP. They can get legal cans.

Yes they could "get legal cans" but it would cost them another re-tooling fee for the cans. Its not worth the extra $$ for the few that will be run at Roar races since 90% of all stock and 19 turn motors sold never see a roar race anyway.
