Yokomo MR-4 TC Thread

Chris, are you sure its not you? Maybe youre the thing that needs improvement. NO OFFENSE but as for me, I thought (this is offroad a few years ago) that by switching from associated to losi I'd go faster. I didnt. I did almost the exact same. As I learned better lines and really worked hard on driving more than being picky on setups, I got faster and faster. As I was able to hang with the fast guys, I payed more attention to setups. This is all my .02$ I still believe its the driver not the car in almost all situations cuz there is no way in hell a yokomo can only go so fast and then be out ran by others.

i'm willing to stick my neck out and say that in no way is the 414M2 is faster than the mr4 sp. i will state that both are just as fast. it's just driving skills and knowledge that determine which of this two cars are faster. i think Chris just needs a change as he's tired of driving the same old car.

Oh.... hmm.... Chris how long HAVE you raced the yok? I forgot that if someone drove a car for 5-10 years theyd want somethin different. Well hey Losi has me glued to their offroad business.... aint never switchin from it I can assure Lets see if the yok has the same affect

It's hard to stay with the same touring car for a long period in time as we now have more to choose from than ever before. So many new and trick looking cars. Not like offroad where you have Losi, Associated, and the occasional Schumacher thrown in for good measure. In touring you could get 20 or more touring cars that are top notch, maybe even more than that.
I can see why Chris might want a change. I have tried alot of touring cars but normally get back to Yoke after a few months. I did like my 98 and 99 SST Schumacher cars, my FSR, and my Yokes. I also liked my Pro2 and Evolution 2. I just like to try different cars but so far the Yoke has been best for me and fits my driving style.

i have been racing for a few years now i bought my mr4tc when they first came out and its gone through the staged of differnt chassis and its gone back to the worlds chassis but its been lighted alot as you can see in the pic that i posted a while back. i know my skills need improvment thats why i dont want to go to expert but experts say that ive got good lines and all. the 414MII can be adjusted more than the yok thats why i wanted it also. I have been racing with yok since way back when the m2 was out so maybe it was time for a change and maybe when yok comes out with a new car i can come back. but for now ill keep the 414 and use my yok to race sportsman mod.

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.
Just to let you know I've had my MR4 since they first hit the shops, and love it.
I've done lots to it and think it's still a competitive car.
The point is that I sell almost all makes of cars. I have built all the Schumacher range, and indeed raced a few. I have built Losi's Street Weapon and XXXS, Corallys, M1 Express, TC3s, most Tamiyas.
Basically I can pick up any one and race it, but I always end up with old faithful.......MR4.
I have been doing lots of developement and testing with my son's TC3 recently too, so i have had the chance to evaluate other cars, but still i choose to drive the MR4.
Don't ask me why!
Oh, and I got my first national win in stock with it last weekend too.
Regards
Joe from sunny Malta.

Ok I'm having a brain glitch here. If I move my camber links up on the shock towers will it give me more traction/steering depending which end I do it to. For some reason it slipped my mind. I hate when this happens.

according to the team orion and yokomo japan website, the kingpin ball joint set (aka the tosolini front camber mods) is available for the mr4 series. part number ZS-007F.
