What is everyone running for stock gearing ? I just changed my main gear to a Schelle Racing Schelle Nova Slipper Assembly with a 69 tooth main gear. Now to find the proper Pinion..

Medium sized track (approximately 85ft straight) lots of 180’s and short shoots I’m at 69/29
But most people are between 69/28-30

Had my first race yesterday after a 7 month break with my new 4.0.
Running 13.5 blinky, built the box carpet setup besides the sway bars,AE purple springs front,AE gray rear,Schumacher cut staggers front, mini pin yellow rear.
The car was great, very easy to drive.Qualified 7 out of 21,finished 6th overall.
Only Losi in the field.

Does anybody have a review on the stiffezel front wheels? I would be using them at ocrc stock class, not sure if they would be a benefit.

its hard to describe exactly what the change feels like, but there is definitely a subtle change.
i race on carpet and it felt like they smoothed mid-corner steering and perhaps took away a bit of front end bite.

if you have a load of wheels i wouldn't go out of my way to buy them, but if you do happen to be after wheels you should try them, i will be exclusively getting them going forward

Curious to see what you guys think of running a front wing....

Pros, cons, etc... If you've run one, do you notice a difference? If so, which ones have you ran?

How's this buggy on outdoor dirt with holeshots. Only have a laydown. Feel like I'd need to add steering g. How's the grip in 3 gear standup?

I am wanting to install the MIP Pucks 17.5 Drive System in my 22 4.0 build. Does anyone have a part number for the kit for the 4.0. everything I pull up refers back to the 3.0

yep, added a bunch of much needed down force. i didn't race with it at first, but added it, and noticed an immediate difference.

Gear diff, no slipper, 17.5 all last season on carpet. No issues.

Gearing depends on track. I was mostly between 27 and 29 tooth pinion for small tracks. Most carpet tracks in the states tend to be small.

17060 is the new kit for the 4.0 no pucks and good for 13.5 as well.

I won a 22 4.0 SR in a raffle at the TLR Cup race at MHOR RC, and have to say this is by far the best kit I have ever assembled! I can’t wait to race it, thanks for converting me to TLR!
