Is there a rear hex with about 7mm thickness available for the 22 4.0? Maybe from the 22-4, SCT or Stadium Truck?

This weekend I was doing some testing on our Astroturf track. I did put the TLR234007 spindles on and they were great, really smooth steering feel. Unfortunately I broke one and had no more left, they are no more available over here in Germany. So I put the 4.0 spindles on with Ackermann #2 and the car was much more aggressiv. I raised the front axle 2mm and went for a stiffer front spring (Yokomo RP purple instead of black) and it was better, but I found out that the steering arm hits the front arm under compression. I tried Ackermann #3 and the car was really good, with a good amount of grip but less aggressiv and twitchy.

M.Boos, believe the ones i took off were 8.5mm and from associated. Had no problems running them.

Thanks. I had 7mm hexes from AE but I thought maybe TLR has some similar ones.

Frank. On the facebook post today you have a pic of your car with alum rear plus 3 hubs on it. The ledt is in right aide and vice versa. Is there something special about them being on backwards?

Nope, not a TLR product.

The +3 hubs were originally for the 22-4, so to get the links in the right spots for the 22 4.0, we've always run the L on the Right and the R on the left. Really, there is no difference in geometry.

Default 2.0 Steering Spindles

Tried the 2.0 Steering spindles on grass today, was only practicing (with out timing) but didn't feel much different from my current set up of the 3mm stock 4.0 spindles.

Will try them again on astro next time I'm at an astro track but for grass I prefer the option of moving the hubs forwards and backwards.

LRC (clay laydown setup) worked much nicer on the grass compared to the HRC - much easier to drive and less edgy.

Tlr alum steering bellcrank and draglink. Are you also flipping this when running on carpet. Or do you not run the alum bellcrank on carpet and turf?

Yes, you'd flip them also, it's just much easier to do with the molded version.

I pit flipped plastic rack back in and im at 125 left 130 right full throw. Am i missing something? Can you post a pic of your alum rack setup including where servo is mounted? Dorward or back

Double check that the adjustable steering link attached between the servo horn and bell cranks is the correct length, too short and you won't get full right throw
