It’s nice to be able to add the weight where u need it. Congrats tough class. Sounds like it’s time for expert class. Good luck.

I checked with a digital calipers and they don't appear to be any standard size shim. OD 6.95 mm ID 5.08 mm and .47 mm thick
Clutch shims will work, although they're usually different thicknesses. In a pinch, clutch shims are usually .20mm, you can use 5x to equal the 2x .5mm shims.

I had that problem as well, switched back to the standard diff for now until the MIP one ships out. My buddy has had real good luck with his and hasn't broke anything yet. It has to be driving style, he is real smooth while I drive very aggressive.

Is your track a lot of start/stop type with short approaches to jumps? Depending on the layout, my track is sometimes that way (not currently though). That is something I will have to keep an eye on.

Which MIP are you using? The 13.5 puck kit or just the diff with non SR axles?

They have started production on a new 17.5 system. The bones are aluminum with a taper and not a step. Also, the pucks themselves are bigger giving them more of a life span. I cannot wait for them to start shipping since I really miss the difference that a lighter drivetrain can make.

It varies a lot, our current layout is very free flowing throughout. The track that I finally made the switch back to the stock diff was pretty free flowing as well with some shorter run ups. Our layouts change about every 5-6 weeks. I really do think it is mainly driving habit though since my buddy that runs with me has never had an issue on the same track. He lucked out though since I gave him all of my SR diff components when I switched back.

I use the slipper eliminator with 30/69 gearing. I am not too sure if anyone really runs over a 72 spur on theirs.

gearing depends on the motor our using and the timing that it is set at. it also is determined by the layout and size if the track...

i run the Gen 3 Tekin
as an example, at Trackside in Milw. i run 26/76,the track is 100/50...
when i go to Dirt Heaven in Champion, i run down 2 teeth to run 24/76 that track is 60/40 ...

for i go up 2 teeth at tracks like leisure and raceem

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye on it. I'd like to use the standard SR stuff, if possible, but if it gives me issues then I'll look into something similar to what you are running.
