Cant be that. AE included an addendum sheet to correct that.

It would be cool if Matt could share with the class sonwe can build these things properly.

My kit didn't come with an addendum

Me? I only noticed a couple of screw lengths being off and I used the addendum sheet for the turnbuckle lengths. The rear sway bar links had to be lengthened a few turns as well. The most tedious part for me was making sure the diffs were shimmed properly...and even that wasn't bad. Car went together great.

Make sure the diff shims aren't stuck together. They are so thin that 1 might be 2

Half way through my build and everything has been smooth with one exception. The front kickup on the chassis wasn't bent enough and the top deck was almost 2mm off when trying to screw it down on the steering posts. It flexed enough to go on, but I'll be replacing it soon so the entire front clip isn't under tension like that.

Did you contact AE? Someone over on the FB page had a really tweaked chassis out of the box.

Pretty much the only annoyance I experienced as well... not a huge problem.. but it seems like there are multiple molds for the gearboxes and a little "Old School" massaging with a cartridge roll made everything fit much better.... after 5~6 times taking it apart and putting it back together...

Almost done with mine, only issue so far is the rear diff ring gear binding on the pinion, but only in 1 spot along the rotation. Tried all different combos of shimming and diff case tightening. AE is going to send me a new gear case to try.

Any thoughts on other things I could try?

Same thing happened to me. Try adding a shim on the front of the pinion. It worked for me.

I ran into somewhat the same thing. It was off by maybe 1mm. I loosened the two screws into the diff case and flexed the chassis a little. They aligned up.

I'm followed this thread since day1 and it seems like there are more people experiencing problems with the car than are actually praising it.

Anyone who has hit a race with the car have anything to say? Experiences? Comparisons?

I read one person compare it to his b44.3 and say (something like) 'it's gonna be good when I get the setup down'
