Just a note for anyone running on turf, switching the center diff fluid from 100k to 500k made a huge difference in overall speed. My first few packs on 100k and the car was a slug, changed to 500k tonight and it was a rocket.

I have some 500k coming from amain. There's no 200k to be found locally and amain is out too

Tires? Which Swaybars F & R? What springs F&R? I've only put 3 packs through it, so very much a work in progress. I'd like to try different rear bars and possibly go up on the shock fluids. |
some carpet/astro pointers:
long links front and rear (inside on tower) slipper or gear diff with 500k to 1M 7 deg caster blocks 1.6 front bar 1.8 rear bar 16-17mm ride height 2x1.6 with 37.5 and purple spring front 2x1.8 with 30 and grey spring rear front and rear arms shimmed back on inner chord length |

Just to confirm, When you talk about shimming the arms back on inner chord, are you talking about the spacers on the inner hinge pins? Basically putting the inner hinge pin spacers towards the front on both F/R arms? |
Thanks for sharing your setups Scott R and AE Stig.
Very helpful. Pardon my ignorance, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by this "front and rear arms shimmed back on inner chord length"? |

Hes saying shim the arms back (put the spacers in front) will shift the weight forward a bit. |

Don't know if it's been mentioned, I was told by an AE driver to shim the center diff forward. I did and no side to side play. Some may be having an issue with the spur possibly hitting the chassis it seems? I believe I used 4 shims.

Hello,
Quick background. I race 1/5th scale. Have a couple local tracks that race 1/10 and 1/8th. One track just opened that's indoor carpet. Figured I'd find some smaller scale stuff to get more trigger time and learn more about setups at that local indoor track. My brother gave me his old TC4 and I can screw around with it. I'd like to add a 1/10 4wd buggy as well. 1/8 is too big for the indoor track. I'd prefer shaft driven as opposed to belt. I'm looking at getting one soon, so I guess my question is, is there still a 2nd version of this buggy planned? Or did it get scrapped? |

Running 13.5 with that car should result in very little need to work on the car often.
I saw a bunch of the B64's run last week. I was very underwhelmed, but the car is still very new. I suppose setups will improve. I had a toe to toe battle with an Xray driver that I have lot of respect for. in the end the difference was he traction rolled in one corner and I didn't. that was the first night out for this car. Its impressive as hell. Great Job AE. |

Underwhelmed? can you explain how this is possible? was it just not a curvy body or something? I watched this car immediately battle the newest Losi with the best drivers at our club and this car set the lap record first night out. that's against a losi with a dialed in setup. This car is impressive.
So he didn't actually Drive one and maybe doesn't even own one. At our local track several of the hotshot's had them and all were quite impressed. One of them threw it down for the first heat race and set TQ for the night. |
