I think after the sc10 4x4 they are looking for something a bit more tried and true to refine.

And the big thing would be does refined perform better than original. For the Durango line up I am coming from, they went with a more common these days layout than what they had before and it works excellent, from those who had both designs, they prefer this one.

How long was the B44 in market before xray decided to make offroad cars again? Or the HB?

How is this not considered a refinement of the design that has won them multiple worlds and a few before other companies even had a platform at all...

I really want to get into wheeler and would 100% get 13.5. Honestly more power isn't always the answer and I'm sure with good driving someone with a 13.5 can easily compete with those who run lower turn motors but are all over the place.

Looking at other pics of the front end I'm not seeing an xb4 at all.

You should go look at a BJ4/B44....pretty sure those were around well before Xray, and HB even knew what off road was....so who's "stealing" designs again?

Grab a gold pan RC10 and look at every single 2wd over the past 30 years, again, who's "stealing" ideas?

It doesn't look like the xray at all. I don't know what crack you guys are smoking. Every 1/10 4wd has used that same style steering hub for the last 10 years.

B44(add vertical ballstud and it's the same)

Losi 22-4

Losi xxx-4

Also if you look at the picture of the back of the front diff, the top plate is going to be much different than the xb4.

HB engineer tried to claim the front hub design on FB....he got owned! Even Kody N. jumped into the conversation.

By the way, for those thinking he had left, Kody is still at AE.

The BJ4 actually used a Losi front spindle and a Jconcepts billet front hub! Also used Losi wing mounts just saying.

Its not about stealing design, its about having all of those world championships and coming out with something innovative and cool. That's what AE used to be.
