I'm not quite sure. But I've been told that Mugen based bodies fit our buggy. I have yet to try though.

Is anyone running different rear springs than the stock on this buggy?

hey mickey.. on the rear springs so much will depend on your track and surface.. I range from 2 steps stiffer to one step softer depending on track and surface conditions.. sometimes it will even change during a day . also another good thing with the car is to stiffen up the back.. there is a bit of flex in the center diff gear.. I am using a 3mm carbon chassis plate along with the alloy chassis braces.. it allows you to attack much harder in corners and really lay the power down without flexing in the wrong spots.. these parts might be available soon.
hope that helps..

and yes that's a bit of weight in back but it works.. and works really good.

yes for those of you who have emailed me.. those are rubber orings in the front and rear cups of the center dogbones.. it keeps the dogbones from sliding around but the rubber gives and will allow it to flex if needed without bending the bones to center diff.

Has anyone had issues with the bearings being supported by bushings in the hubs and not just being supported by the hub itself? Especially in the rear where there is a bushing inside of a bushing. That the bearing then goes in.

I haven't seen a issue with the steel center shafts . They have actually been pretty reliable. Now, I have seen the aluminum ones bend. With our without prints too. I personally dont use orings in my center shaft diff cups.

Are you using stock plastic chassis braces, or the optional aluminum ones? If using the original plastic ones, they may be allowing too much flex while absorbing impacts causing damage. I installed from jump the alloy option parts, along with the center brass weight. I hope this helps

Definitely get the front aluminum brace. My 2e bent shafts, swapped it to alloy and fixed it. Built my 3e new with one and it survived three days of DNC without a bent shaft. There are options for all of the braces as well as the lay down chassis plate stiffener as you may know. I tested variations of all of them and felt just running the front one kept the car the most nutral.

Thanks for the quick replies Raul and Roscoe. I am running the aluminum front/center brace and center brass weight. Also the Aluminum center shaft is the one that was bent to the point that it grinded off the coating on the front brace. Looks like I will stick with the steel for now. Had the steel which bent a little as well, but can’t remember if I had all the aluminum braces when I ran it. What’s with o rings in the diff outdrive?
