Bash 40 minutes on 4S in grass and the motor will be skin temp. 6S is crazy fast/powerful and still keeps temps under control.

For the money honestly there isn't anything even remotely close.

Just chuck some 3.8" badlands on it and call it a day!
Good, I'll go with the Talion...! Still don't really understand what would be the diff between Kraton with Talion tires and vice-versa but will purchase front/rear bumper, Badlands 3.8 tires and plan to run it on 5S in grass, should not overheat? Do you run it with Badlands on 6S?

The Kraton has wider hexes, like 10mm or so. The Kraton also has a small tower over the center diff. And obviously body and wheels.

Can't go wrong with either, I have a Kraton with 3.8 badlands on 4.0 de truggy wheels. 16t pinion on 5s is great.

Can't go wrong with either truggy.
I have been pounding a Talion for over a year now.
6S
Mamba monster
with src belted tires and it has taken a huge beating.
replaced pinion and a couple bearings and had to straighten a front drive shaft.
Other then the original motor not liking the 6S and over heating it about 50 times its been solid.
Been in this hobby for 20 + years ARRMA and Durango have solid products.

My brother beats the mess out of his and it keeps chugging along. His hpi trophy truggy didn't hold up to his abuse. The losi does it with ease

Get the kraton if you want a basher. I was jumping mine 65' last week trying triple backflips. The truck is insanely tough, and parts are very easy to come by. Shim the diffs then beat on it. Fastest thing I've ever drove and after 9 months still haven't quite opened it all the way up. If you don't feel like lots of wrenching and waiting for difficult to find parts, the arrma line up is the only way to go. Very little maintenance w/ the arrma after diffs are shimmed and avid or boca bearings installed in the drivetrain.

I spray some WD40 PTFE silicon lube to resist dirt/dust on all the exposed bearing after each run (and to be fair I don't run in dusty/off road conditions / typically at a clay indoor track or onroad) but i've yet to have a single bearing failure and i'm over 200 packs through the thing.

Just saying the bearing upgrades may not be necessary out of the box depending on how/where you run it and your maintenance routine post run.
