The owner of track said minor changes but most change coming in the tranny.

you guys hear anything

Allot of the newer setups are also showing different rear arms.

Quick question, I don't see it mentioned on many of the carpet set ups. Are people using the 2mm shims under the trans on carpet?

I hear the same thing. Only changes to a potential 6.1 is things most of not all of us already have on our cars.

Just throwing this out there, is it me, or do the stock moulded pistons move more freely inside the Kashima shock bodies vs. machined pistons? I guess the Kashima coating is a wee bit thicker than the stock bodies, Joona marked down on his set up sheet he sanded his.

Also, anyone notice how sticky the gold coloured nitride covered shock shafts are vs the chrome?

If there is to be a transmission update it'll likely be similar to what TLR runs with an adjustable diff height, +/- 3mm for clay or carpet.

A B6.1 is likely close.

Asking around, it sounds like lots of things have been in short supply.

SDRC Raceway had one hanging on the wall when I was there a,couple of days ago. Give them a call, I believe they ship parts too.

I just purchased a B6D recently as the B6 was out of stock, as of today AMain had the individual parts required to do the laydown conversion. Last week Associated had the individual parts as well, haven’t checked in a few days. I will be purchasing some on Monday or Tuesday if they are still available. Also, if buying the parts separately don’t forget to buy some extra transmission case screws.

Should I order a 510r or 1000z for b6d build?

That could still be a valuable update. I think most of the cars out there running a clay setup are a combination of B6 and B6d, plus the 67mm driveshafts, which is an expensive mod that they could fix with an update to the stock rear hubs.

510r is a better speed control. The 1000z doesn’t have a program box where the 510 u can plug one in and set up. 1000z is done by pressing the button on the speed control and counting the blinking light.

Ah ok got ya I knew the 510 was rated for more amps. Didn't realize the 1000z didn t have a program box. Thanks

I run carpet and use
#91704.
In front I use the 1.0mm and in the rear the one included in the kit.
The car feels much better in the corners.

Yes. At low ride heights, such as carpet/turf, the trans shims help to "correct" bone angles and roll center.

B6 17.5t and 7.5t/8.5t gear ratios.

What do you guys recommend the ratios for these motor turns? Normally? Teeth of pinion and spur gears preferably.

I know. I just couldn't find anything in there related to my question (perhaps it isn't in the manual or I missed it) so I figured I'd refer to the forums for help.

31/69 is a good start for 17.5 for most smaller sized tracks.
