Hmmmm. The cobra had the dual battery layout as this is better accoeding to serpent r&d, now they come up with a new car with a single battery layout identical to the tekno eb48.

Indeed, both layout options are available which is unique.

Serpent has prepared the Cobra SRX8-E with 2 possible layouts. One is the block layout and the other is the saddle layout like the Cobra 811 B-e used. Both layouts use the same chassis and motorholder and it can be changed from one to other layout easy and fast.

it look's like u flip the motor to the rear for the dual 2s setup. I like the 811e better with the motor up front, batteries in the back. I need to get sumthun before the nationals in july and everyone up here seems to be going with tekno but I really like the 811e layout

The car can be brick layout and saddle with minimal parts swap. Best of both worlds!

The holes on the chassis suggests that the center diff is moved forward for the saddle layout, but that would need two different sets of center driveshafts.

You can choose the batteries configuration base on track conditions.

During the race at Xiamen, the team actually prefer to use the saddle configuration in the beginning while using their own batteries, but since the race are control batteries, and the hand-out batteries are actually heavier then what they normally use, then everyone of them are using the block config and it handles really well.

I have the chance to take a photo while they are testing both config, enjoy.
