Hey guys I've been dragging my feet and need a push in the right direction. I've always had mostly AE vehicles and never had a Losi. This 4.0 is wispering to me all day everyday but my heart keeps telling me to pull the trigger on a RC8B3E. Now that the 4.0 has been out for a little bit does anyone have any wisdom on both? Thank you for all your help!!

This isn't my first go around in the RC world, but I hated the RC8B, always rans Moogs, decided to get back in this year and pulled the trigger on the 4.0. Hated the build, not much of a fan on the layout either, for some reason I feel my MBX6R Eco had more room.....but after all the headaches I've had (go back and read) I hope she rips on the track. JMO.

Anyone running smc 6500 or equivalent? Any adverse handling? They fit under body without rubbing?

Yep running a 6500 4s smc and 6950 4s trinity revtech in the forward location. No rubbing on the body. I prefer the heavy battery over the ecopower 4100 4s batteries I use to run. Car seems to be more stable and have more steering with more weight up front and can't beat the punch of the smc and revtech.

Ditto on the RevTech 6950. Forward location, no issues.

Can someone explain the concept of the wickerbill? I have never seen a wing like this, not sure what the difference is in the 2 bills, also the kit built set-up calls for a .250 spacer, what?

The wickerbill is suppose to create more rear downforce and give more rear traction. There is a larger and smaller wicker. The larger will have more rear downforce and more rear traction. The spacer moves the rear wing back which supposedly gives you more downforce and more rear traction. The larger the spacer the further back the wing is the more rear down force there is and more rear traction there is. I could be wrong but i believe this is similar to being able to move the the wing up and down that other brands offer.

Every TLR pro I have seen does not run the spacer at all. I am not sure I can really feel much of difference with the spacer. I ran the 2.0 wing indoors high traction which does not have a wicker and so far for the few races outdoors I have ran a lexan wing with a wicker. I think it just comes down to what you like.

Thanks maddog9......I haven't done the wickerbill yet but I built it with the shorter spacer. I'll try the bigger bill, we're loose, rutted, bumpy and dusty. I can use all the grip I can get lol.

Default clutch

Recently bought the electro clutch and tried to install it. I can't get a mesh with the steel spur and my prion vst2.... has anyone else had or heard of this issue? With the plastic spure it does mesh cause it's flat on the diff not offset slightly like the steel ones are.

Does anybody know what body this is that Ryan is running? I know it's a JConcepts nisher, but is it a 3.0 body like they have one their site, or is it a prototype? I can't find one listed as a 4.0.

A steel spur is strongly recommended for the electric clutch.

I'm trying to figure out my wire management and having a tough time. I'm running an RX8 with the battery in the forward position. Anyone with the same setup able to post pictures of how they ran their receiver wire from the ESC? If possible, I'd like to avoid running over the top of the center diff.
