I have not seen one from him specifically for the e but know the nitro changes work on it as well.

This past weekend a local guy here dominated the field all day with McBride's Queensland setup. May want to do a stare and compare with both of his. This will be what I'm doing next.

I felt like it it would have liked to be tighter but was thinking the shim vs the outdrive would be easier on the o ring.
Thanks for the advise. I'll give it a shot...

Just as I ordered my 8B3e, my 1258 servo died on me...blessing in disguise as they say. I ordered the Savox Ty Tessman edition servo for my new buggy and it had fast, high torque...plenty of steering response...I even dialed it back some. I upgraded to the Hobbywing XR8 esc and put another new x812 1900kv motor in it. I am very happy with the power, braking and steering...now if I can just get it dialed in and learn how to drive; I would be golden...lol

I went HW SCT pro for $100. And so far have no regrets. Paired it with a SMC 1900 for $60. Due to all the positive post and recmenations on it. And it's half the Tekin price. One guy on here son put the same SMC/HW setup in the main at this past DNC. That sealed the deal for me.
Thanks for the advice. I ended up ordering the Hobbywing XR8 with programmer and the SMC 1900.
Now I just need to order the buggy. I just wish the v2 diffs were already shipping with the kits. I called AE and explained that I was looking to order and was concerned that the v2s weren't included. They said they had no knowledge of the v2 diffs but if there's a running change they will get them to me. Didn't make me feel better about ordering prior to the change since they denied knowing about them... I assume it's so that they don't kill the sales of in stock kits and so far they have come through for me when needed...
Knowing me I'll probably just order and hope that they come through once again...

Below is a quote from an AE guy on the nitro forum about the v2 diffs that might put your mind at ease.

I read that and I figured that they weren't a necessity but there was a reason that they decided to make a v2. I'd just like to buy a kit with all the latest "improvements" seems like there's no other real complaints about the kit.
I'm looking forward to it with or without v2...

Silverstone,

Don't worry about the v2 diffs. Build the stock diffs per Dyno Dan's instructions and they are perfect. I have a very, very good source who says they v2 diffs are even worse. Apparently they are working on v3. If the v2 diffs were corrected and that good, why is Cav running Mugen diffs? Buy your kit, build it and go racing. It's a great kit. Don't buy the hype of the v2 diffs.

Debating between this kit and a few others, just curious what hardware it uses? Metric? What's sizes?

It's all metric, a couple screws are 2mm, couple 2.5mm, but the majority is 3mm and 4mm. I highly recommend the kit, I have one and I got one for my 8 year old son. It's very easy to drive and fast!

I have raced mine with great success and my 7 year old races it too so can say they are very durable as well as fast!
