You think so? I know it's not like West Coast was or how OCRC is but it's a good medium sized. I think you might be a little spoiled in L.A.. I would love to have a facility like that out here in LV!

I have to be frank that first post is just a little too long and cluttered. Makes the first page take forever to load for reading on an already slow forum. Just a little extreme IMO. I am also very surprised that AE is not going to make a rear motor version or at least a conversion of this truck. Not every track is super high bite bluegroove. Otherwise a very cool looking SC truck.

When the T5m came out and everybody was saying the exact same thing AE designers stated that the weight balance from a T4 to the T5m was fairly close. Close enough to not warrant a need for a T5 RM. Plus with all of the traveling and regional races that the team does, there was never a point with the b5m that they said 'man, I really wish I had a rear motor car'. Mid motor can be made to work in nearly any situation.

One thing to keep in mind too is with such a long chassis in SC trucks the weight bias front to rear isn't as big as it is in buggies or even ST's. In short, a mid vs rear motor SC doesn't have as big an impact on the vehicle as shorter chassis vehicles.

Most of the top TLR guys run for JConcepts.

Either way, your inability to make a body fit on a 22SCT has nothing to do with the SC5M, so please move on.

Well looking at Spencer Rivkins we know that the Hi-flo will definitely fit. Band did anyone pickup on the new springs coming from AE?

Okay Guys, What is the current shipping date for the sc5m? I preordered mine as soon as they were offered, at that time I was told middle of July. I'm hearing rumors of august now.

mine is on order as well, I have been told of a recall with a suspension part beyond that, I am patiently waiting for this kit to come in. I am fairly new to racing and was away from the hobby for about 20 years and then got bit by the bug pretty hard , between me and my 3 boys we have about 10 different cars. I have trued mid motor with my T4, I got a Centro conversion and couldn't come to terms with it. I hope I have better luck with the SC5M .

We should see how well the Sc5m actually does compared to the Losi and Kyosho this weekend at the Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout. Mayfield, Rivkin, Cav, Phend, all are there I believe.
