Tylem28. You're overthinking something which many have done with no issues. Go back and reassemble the VTS and see where the issue is. I can't think of anything else which would cause this issue besides the slipper being messed up. It can be tricky to line it up correctly.

I'm pretty sure I had it all assembled correct but I could have had something wrong. I'll retry tomorrow and see if I still have the same issues or I put it together right. If it still doesn't work I'll take some pictures and load them to show and make sure I'm not missing something or doing something incorrect. Do those pictures above help in showing the differences between the two?

I got it all figured out and good to go. I must have had something not aligned. I did end up putting to washers / spacers to eliminate the slop / play in the ball diff. Thanks again for all the help!

I'm glad it worked out.

try a lower ride height. I am at 26/24 and really like the planted feel of the truck. may have to add a limiter or two to keep the springs seated at full droop.

I'm running 28/26 ride height due to the how the jumps on the track are built. Any lower and you'll slap. The truck still feels incredibly planted however there is a lot of body roll in the sweeper and tight turns. So much so that I can see one of the wheels pulling up off the track. I was told to try sway bars to resolve the problem so I picked up a front sway kit. I'm going to test it out tonight at practice to see how it feels.

Indoor clay, med-high grip. How many internal spacers is too much. I want to take out some of the body roll. Running the SRS setup right now. Thinking about going up 2.5wt all around as well.

Pistons with some pack may cure the slap. I have have been playing around with 3 and 4 hole pistons lately with the lower ride height. worth a try.

I am running 3 up front, 2 in the rear. Are you using Cav's SRS setup @ 25/23 ride height? just looked at his setup sheet - 37.5wt/30wt, kit pistons.

Yes, that is the one. But my current ride height isn't as low, which is one of the things I need to try.

I also feel as if my truck doesn't have any hop off of jumps. Just kind of feels lazy.

I finally got my kit together and went out to a local clay track. I've been running a heavily modified slash. Wow what a difference! I love this thing. It handles like a dream and takes the jumps with ease and is so smooth. It lands so soft and is a lot easier to control.

I ended up getting the new XR10 Pro 160A ESC and a Fantom 8T motor. I love it so far! I bought the LCD program box to and will play with some settings. I put the 3 gear transmission in and everything else is on stock set up.

Just thought I'd share my first experiences. Wishing I would have picked one of these up sooner!

What is everyone doing to help with body roll? What is a good setup sheet for an indoor carpet track and high bite clay track?

Cav's SRS setup is pretty insane on this bus... I would think it would work well for dual surfaces.

Yeah I have some 3x1.4 I was thinking about trying. I'm currently running Cav's 2016 ROAR-Nats setup.

Some things I might change:
  • 3-1 toe/anti-squat
  • 1.4x3 pistons in rear
  • Kyosho X-gear White spring in rear
  • -1 camber front/rear

Looking to get some feedback on my layout and positioning of my electronics on my SC5M. Anything I should move around or change? Anything look out of the ordinary? Wires look okay?
