The brace is for the front hinge pin location ,the one that breaks and takes the diff housing with it , and it will also work for the front hinge pin brace for the rear as well , all you need to do is change the shim and use longer bolts with nuts.

Can you post a picture please?

You made it sound like yours doesn't use a captured hinge pin like box stock. Maybe I misunderstood what you meant.

Guys , I will post pics of my car with the proto-types on it , so you will see just what I am talking about , and the new ones I will have next week, will look almost EXACTLY like the original plastic ones ,they will have nicer radius's on them , I am also going to have a new rear front brace made of steel , to add a bit more weight to the car (it is WAY under ROAR wieght limit) with a brushed motor and LRP speedo

Anyone else have a manufacture error motor mount on their ZX5 car? Take a look at your motor mount. Mine has counter sink slots for the motor screws on the wrong side of the mount. They are counter sink on the motor side. Is this suppose to be like this? I wonder if Kyosho is aware of it.

Default Suggestion on steel parts

I would suggest making those parts out of aluminum. It is cheaper to make the parts and when a car is under weight and weight must be added it is nice to be in control of where the weight goes (to the rear on a rough/slick track or up front on a high grip track). With the steel parts the weight is out on the ends of the car which would slow the rotation in the corners.

Ok guys ,here are my PROTOTYPE parts ,the new ones look almost EXACTLY like the oem ones , but for the people confused about where they go ,this is for you guys, also the weight from a steel piece would be in a very good spot for the rear , I wouldn't recomend it for the front though, the car has enough steering .http://www.glowplug.com/zx5braces.jpg/

The countersunk hole holds a rubber o-ring according to the instructions. I've been taking my motor on and off trying to figure out my wiring today and the o-rings have come in handy as they keep the screw from falling out. I'm not sure how much, if any, cushion they are providing the motor itself.
