First post here guys I've been out of R/C for 15 years (last raced a B3!) I picked up a YZ-2 from another member here and I have a quick question. As far as wheels and tires go what can I use other than factory Yokomo wheels? Will a standard 2.2 F & R off of a B4.1 work?
Thanks
*****Update. After reading the thread I now see that all 12mm hex type wheels as used on the B5 will fit.
Thanks

For any interested... We are currently building a facebook group that will allow for ease of sharing information amongst the North American Yokomo drivers. Since we tend to have much different surfaces than the rest of the world this allows us to provide information between everyone quicker and easier.

looking for some input on motors. I'm coming from a 17.5 to 13.5 short course and now ready to drink in sport mod w/ my yok. Any suggestions as I am leaning towards Reedy Mach 2 or Trinity D4 10.5.

in regard to mod motors, how the hell do tekin motors have an edge compared to other mod motors? I find that tekin BS with their kilowatt ratings in their equivalent turn motors compared to other manufacturers. So on paper value, their motors do seem more powerful.....but not in the real world.

I'd say it's more of a preference rather that facts by anyone good or bad. I just happen to prefer another brand. To each his own. No reason to blow up about it though

while I do appreciate your input in this thread, although some of your posts I do wonder why you bother with your modifications......this has got to be one of the dumbest quotes I've seen!

You will find our team running 6.5's where other companies are running 6.0s' and 5.5s in the same cars.
IF you haven't ran our equipment, don't make outlandish comments about it. We offer top quality racing components with customer service which is industry leading, and often second to none....so yes in that way we do offer an advantage.
