I never had, but if running such thick fluid, it won't hurt to use a solid axle in there. I never ran anything above 7K in my YZ-2, and in my YZ-4 I always used all 4 spider gears.

Nope never had a failure. 40-60k seems ludicrous high.

I run 10k and stock internals 2 gear.

A buddy runs same in mod no failures ever.

Actually gonna try plastic bd8 gears and all 4 with 5-7 k just to test and for drivetrain weight savings in stock 17.5 Buggy.

okay cool. I'll give what I have here a try then with stock internals and shimming.

Anyone know where I can get the plastic front lower suspension mount (25 degree)? It’s about the only part I don’t have in my box. Local track doesn’t carry parts. Is the aluminum one a better option?

If you are not running on low-grip, I'd say go for the aluminum version.

January 2018:
- YZ-2 DTM WC Edition (limited)

March 2018:
- YZ-2 DTM-2 (Less alu parts as the WC included)
- YZ-2 CA-2 (New version for Carpet)
Both cars will have an improved steering (more linear) and an all new battery mounting system (no more a carbon plate)

Any word on the included body yet? Also, I do hope the chassis will include pockets for brass plates like the AE/TLR cars and the gearbox has been updated to provide easier access to the diff and/or diff height adjustment options to bring it on par with their wheeler. Whatever the case, I know I'll get the CA2 even if none of these updates should be included.

I'm not sure on new parts but I wouldn't expect a lot. Some newer parts are available on the WC version (new waterfall/bulkhead mount, front arms and steering rack). Not sure about the new battery mounting.

As long as they include the front gullwing and DTM rear suspension parts and the latest motor plate, the package is ok for me. All the other things I mentioned would be the icing on the cake!

This is a bad pic of our outside track.
Very thick and high grip astro, very bumpy and the layout can be changed up to 3 different tracks, running in both directions.

Setup on my car is very hard, black Yatabe (not RP, as these are very soft) front and rear, 550f, 450r, stock pistons, full droop rear, 1mm front.
And as stated above, on this kind of Astro the JC tires work really good.

I see some of the Yokomo drivers at the Reedy Race were running RP Dirt springs. Anyone know if these are close to production yet?

Looking at the new bell cranks, wondering why they went with bushings instead of bearings?

I wonder how the plus 2mm will change the steering?

Cain 01-24-2018 07:32 AM
