I'll see if I can do a bench drop video later on tonight.

Looking at your conditions and what you guys are doing I'd definitely give a setup with bigger piston holes a look. I think I have seen some setups in Europe on something with very little if any jumps and very bumpy with pistons as big as 1.7 or even 1.8 up front and 1.8 or even 1.9 rear pistons.

Can you post your full setup and if you have a different one to try out, what that will be or at least what you plan to change to? explain also what it is exactly you see if happening or not happening that you want it to do stop doing or start doing if that makes sense?

Yes, this is our only local outdoor dirt track carved out of a grass field, by some very nice dedicated people, kudos to these folks who made it possible. It is a very small track, typically the 4wds use 13.5t and 2wds 17.5t motors.
I will try out the kit settings for now and see how it goes from there.

I cannot access some of the sites even when using the Desktop (that is how I do it normally).

To get around that if you have problems with the Desktop site do this:

- Logoff
- Go to the link you want it should pull up
- To reply, do reply and then log in
- Post your reply, it will then "crash" and not display
- Your message however will get posted

That's what i have been doing with the YZ4SF2 site

What's everyone opinion about the MIP Puck MOD sells for the YZ2 ?

The DTM2 version fits my CAL 3 perfectly and they're really cheap at the moment, I paid 50$usd for a kit just to try it out.

This kit

I heard some good and bad things, but my Yokomo axle pins are shot and I wanted to try them out at that price.

People seemed to say that the polymer to steel friction in the out drives wasn't ideal versus the steel on steel for handling. I guess I'll see about that.

Im running on clay medium-high traction with a 17.5, slipper eliminator and now the MIP puck.

Not sure specifically on this car, but in general watching the AE guys with there B6.4s and B74.2s for a wheeler veriant are running the gear diff puck versions dropping a good amount of weight on the driveline for spec racing.

I'd be curious if they could get a gear diff version to fit based on there AE lineup

warracer 12-21-2022 05:48 AM

I mean , with the way Yokomo and AE shares similar parts, such as ball diff gear which is exactly the same but in a different material. I wouldn't be surprised if you could fit these outdrives on a Yokomo gear diff to fit the puck system :

MOD Outdrives

Yeah I'd be very curious myself, just have to have someone give it a try.
